Clearing a mountain lot is not the same as bulldozing a flat field. We start by tagging the trees worth keeping with you, often mature oaks, hickories and sourwoods that will shade the future house.
Forestry mulchers grind brush and small trees into a mulch layer that holds soil on slopes, and we follow NC erosion control guidance on grades. Larger timber can be milled, stacked or hauled.
